Well June is coming and going, and weather is getting a lot better. Tortoises and turtles are getting to go outside. Remember to please check on your tortoises and turtles. IT can be dangerous to keep them outdoor due to overheating, flipping, and predators, Checking on your animals is a easy way in protecting them.  IT is summer though, everyone have a safe one!

About Me:

Here is a little bit about me. My name is Kyle, I am 20 years old and love animals. I lived in California most my life, I have owned many types of reptiles raging from Leopard geckos, chameleons and of course turtle and tortoises. When I was young i got my first turtles which were RES. They were more then I can handle so I gave them to a friend who had a pond. It wasn't until I was 13 when i got my First box turtle. My first box turtle was a 3 toed and her name was Rex. From 13-18 I managed to collect many types of tortoises and turtles including Star tortoises, Mountain tortoises, Greek tortoises, Russian tortoises, 3 toed box turtles, ornate box turtles, and eastern box turtles. I had breeding groups of Russians, 3 toeds, ornate and easterns. I had 6 star tortoises at one point, 2 Mountain tortoises, and 3 baby greeks that went yet old enough to breed. As for other reptiles I use to own it would very from different types of lizards. I use to have 8 leopard geckos, 2 veiled chameleons, 3 collared lizards, and 2 bearded dragons. The leopards I gave to a friend because I wanted to focus on the tortoises and turtles, my chameleons i just didn't have time for so had to sell them. Collared lizards were awesome but went to a friend as well. The male bearded dragon died after 9 years of life, and the female bearded dragon is still alive and 10 years old. Most lizards I had I sold or gave to friends to focus on Turtle and tortoises. Around December 08 I was forced to give up my collection. It was hard for me to do because a lot of my collection I had for years, and some I raised from 1 week old. Due to problems, money and downgrade in housing I was forced to give them up. Most of them went to breeders and I still talk to some of the people that got them. I am getting two new sulcatas and going to start this great hobby again. My mom got a house and we will have a yard dedicated to the sulcatas when they are older. I don't plan to get a lot of different tortoises until i have settled and get a house of my own, but I will be sticking to the two sulcats for awhile.

You can also find me on the TurtleTime forums, and Tortoiseforum forums, my Name is Millerlite on those forums. IF you have not been there click on the links tab and you can find it, its a really good way to meet people, and get great help from a lot of different people.
